About Stephanie Marquesano

A dedicated philanthropist, Stephanie Marquesano is active in numerous organizations and activities. She lends her time and energy to support various organizations focused on solving major health issues, educational reform, crises caused by natural disasters, and sports-based groups. A former attorney, Ms. Marquesano maintains a vigorous schedule with her participation in these types of charities.

Stephanie Marquesano is committed to the effort to cure cancer. She is involved with the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and Stand Up 2 Cancer. The American Cancer Society strives to save lives by helping people to stay well, get well, find cures, and fight back. Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists worldwide, and is a global leader in the battle against breast cancer. Stand Up 2 Cancer brings prominent people in the cancer community together to accelerate cancer research and quickly deliver therapies to patients. Stephanie Marquesano also involves herself with endeavors to research cures for other diseases, such as diabetes and Parkinson’s, through the Diabetes Research Institute, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, and the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.

Stephanie Marquesano is also moved by the problems brought on by natural disasters and their adverse effect on human lives. The 2010 earthquake in Haiti resulted in massive loss of lives and abysmal living conditions for the residents on the island. Ms. Marquesano supports Hope for Haiti, which has worked to improve the lives of Haitians through improvements in healthcare, education, and nutrition, and AFYA Foundation, which has improved the efficiency of health care administration through the creation of a computer-based inventory menu of medical supplies, to help alleviate these conditions.

Stephanie Marquesano gives her time and support to several other organizations, including the Beebe Humane Society, National Jewish Health, and the South Bronx United Soccer Club. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, Mah Jongg, interior design, various sports, blogging, and reading.
